Local Outreach

 Winter Haven Christian Church considers the local community and our state as a

mission field. Therefore, we provide funding for the following programs.

A. Community Outreach/Homeless Ministry

- The Mission – Homeless ministry by providing coffee and food

- kidsPACK – Packing weekend lunches for elementary school children

B. God’s Helping Hands – Church members volunteer to assist with helping with small

jobs that individuals need help with completing.

C. Emergency or special needs – the Mission’s committee is available to assist with

emergencies or special needs that may occur.

kidsPACK USA is a nonprofit organization supported by community leaders, corporate sponsors, churches and concerned citizens joined with a core of volunteers throughout the county dedicated to improving the lives and opportunities of children. Their purpose is to energize local communities to impact the lives of children sparking a positive change and giving the opportunity to spend each day free of hunger, to encourage learning and enhance abilities, to be clothed with dignity, to have shelter and security, to experience the kind and compassionate heart of a giver. 

The Mission of Winter Haven is a faith-based mission, supported by freewill offerings and contributions of churches, groups and individuals. The need of the work is constantly laid before God in prayer, and information concerning the work is circulated among God’s people.
